Here at Dorothy Hughes House we have a small but dedicated and committed team of staff who provide not only wonderful food for our residents on a daily basis, but help to create and maintain the cheerful, kind and happy environment that we have always been proud of.

Nina Woosman

Administrator

Nina joined us in 2020 and is now an invaluable member of the team, who provides excellent Administration support to the staff, the residents and the Trustees.  Nina is the first port of call for all New or Prospective Residents.

June Morris

Kitchen Manager

June has worked for Dorothy Hughes House for around 20 years.  She is not only an excellent cook but a first class Kitchen Manager.  June plans all the week’s menus, ensures that all the shopping is carried out, and works on staff rotas. 


Stacey Davies

Cook

Stacey is a local lady who has worked for us for around 6 years as one of our team of cooks.  As well as the day to day cooking, Stacey enjoys trying her hand at challenging bakes and recipes, with excellent results. 


Terri Berry

Cook

Teri lives locally to Dorothy Hughes House and has been a member of staff since 2019.  She is one of our team of first class cooks. Teri is a very cheerful and kind lady who brings a smile to everyone she meets. 


Sandra Whiting

Cook

Sandra has worked for Dorothy Hughes House for around 15 years as one of our team of cooks.  Sandra often works at weekends and is known for her excellent Sunday Roast lunches together with more adventurous Indian and Chinese food.  


All of our staff have up-to-date Health and Hygiene Certificates, together with First Aid qualifications.


Trustees


Dorothy Hughes House is run by a group of dedicated and Voluntary Trustees, who give of their own time to ensure the smooth running of the House.

The Trustees consist of:

Executive Committee Meetings take place around every 6 to 8 weeks and our AGM takes place in the Spring.
